Construction 1

Building skills through the use of hand tools and power tools in woodworking.

Construction 2

Building skills covering 15 construction trade areas.

Prerequisite: Construction 1 or consent of instructor

Construction 3

Construction in relation to the major technology clusters.

Prerequisite: Completion of Construction 2 or consent of instructor

Heavy Equipment Operation and Maintenance

Introduction to Caterpillar Simulators and operating equipment.

Credits

High School Students will be required to get 2.5 credits from one specific pathway plus .5 from another pathway of their choice.

Class Credits Required:

  • Construction 1:  0.5
  • Engineering Fundamentals:  0.5

1.5 Credits from the following:

  • Construction 2:  1.0
  • Construction 3:  1.0
  • Heavy Equipment Operations and Maintenance:  0.5

This program is designed to help students develop the technical qualifications and life skills needed to begin a career in the construction industry. Students will take part in real-life applications, learn valuable skills surrounding power tools and have opportunities to design independent projects and learning goals during their senior year.
